What a week, well, fortnight

Well kids, it's been a long time since I have written a decent entry. So what better time to write than when I'm nursing an extremely severe hangover and have internet access in the comfort of our Willy G loungeroom. Last night was so not what I expected. After having an alcohol free (almost) two weeks, I hit the sauce in style. I was only supposed to have a few cheeky ones after work then head home as I wanted to shop til I dropped today (HA so postponed), but, it was not to be.

I ended out with a chick from work (Dan's team secretary, who I always thought hated me, I guess not) and a bunch of her mates. Before meeting up with them we ducked into Tesco's for supplies.. we ended up with donuts (!?) then as we crossed the road, stopped some van driven by Aussies and shared them whilst holding up traffic. (Comment of the night "You have GOT to be having a laugh"). We then went to Hoxton Square and this place was buzzing! We had to line up (WHATEVER), however to make up for giving the bouncers a hard time we bought them hot chocolates... we're so always going to be on the list!

When we entered they were playing a mix of Nirvana/Metallica/Gunners... I thought I had died and gone to heaven. 4 sambuccas later I was truly on my way.. we danced the night away and I ended up having a MASSIVE convo with some random guy about Tool.. it was wicked! £27 later I was home.. I can no longer bear paydays, I'll be poor as within a week I guarantee it.

So, here I sit procrastinating what to do for the rest of the weekend, I'm fairly certain today will involve a lot of sitting, sleeping and nothingness. Tomorrow I'm going for a 2 hour train ride to go shopping!! And I found out this morning the centre is apparently in Kent, where Mum's from, so I'll be interested to see if that is the case.

Yesterday I booked my trip to Turkey for ANZAC Day. I'll be doing this tour. I'm so looking forward to it. Want to go elsewhere in the meantime.. I need to see Europe already! Hopefully will get to Poland with Towsty in March and if not get a weekend away before Vanessa's birthday.

I'm updating my photos today. Andy and I spent all of last Saturday on the go... saw Buckingham Palace (and the changing of the guards) which was pretty cool. We agreed the Palace wasn't as impressive as we thought, however, I wouldn't turn it down if I got offered a room there (Particularly if William was in residence). Walked through Hyde Park - amazing. What was more amazing was thinking I'll be seeing Foo Fighters there bang in the middle of summer... SO cannot wait for that. (And Christer will be coming across for it too, god bring on June!!).

We're now officially members of the Hard Rock Casino. Yes, they have a casino. Which they make you join to enter. What a load of bollocks!! And it's shit too, although we did have a laugh at the blackjack tables... did we dare play a £5 hand (which back home is triple what we'd normally play)... nah, too skint for that. Saw Trafalgar for the first time since the Russian Winter Festival (we celebrated Russian New Year there about a month ago.. those crazy Russians ring in the new year around Jan 14... it must be all that vodka), I love the square, it's huge and always buzzing with people.. just a really cool place and right near Soho/Piccadilly/Chinatown. After having dinner in Covent Garden we had a look at the big Oz Shop on Shaftsbury and dropped into the Porterhouse for... a Paley!!! My second since I've been here. No Coopers for 3 months makes Rez something something.

And how could I forget to write about the Chelsea match!? Wicked. I never got soccer and would certainly never watch it, but seeing it live has given me appreciation for the game. It was rather exciting and the crowd got so into it. It was funny, on a Wed night Chels playing Everton drew 33,000 people. Port couldn't even draw that kind of crowd on the weekend! Anyhow, Blues won 4-1 and everyone was happy. So happy that we ended up taking over the Fulham Slug and Lettuce afterwards and drank til we got kicked out (which thank god was around 11 or so.. still had a nasty hangover the next day... and we had kebabs.. GRR!!). Went to the Walkabout (my first Walky outing!) on Wed night with Megs to watch Chelsea v Barcelona, good game, Chels lost, but the atmosphere at the bar (it was a big match) was awesome and I so want to go to another game. I will somehow get tickets!

Oh and thanks to Matt for sending the Wolfmother CD... what an excellent listen that was. Fucking spewing I missed tickets to see them next month. Also, the chico babies went down a treat.. everyone officially love you (except Pete who took two chews and spat the damn thing out.. what a waste!)

Well I can't bear typing anymore and thinking of things to write is just too painful. Here's to me going to get food sometime between now and bedtime. Now if I could just fit in time to go shopping, get glasses, get my hair done and other girly things I'd be sweet.

Oh and thankyou to everyone who rang me pissed as from Carrie's 21st... you all were speaking nonsense and could only yell 'I CAN'T HEAR WHAT YOU'RE SAYING!', but it was awesome to speak to you.. and Carrie.. HAPPY 21ST!!!! Gutted I coudn't be there for it.

Wel I'm off.. showers to be had, kebabs to be eaten.

Bye darlinks!
x
